The team are busy preparing the experiment for flight!
Liam as excited as ever! Nick is not so sure....
Georgie and Liam getting our very small base plate ready for flight!
Alex and Tom find the best configuration to release the free floating test cell. We are the only team on board to have a free floating experiment!
The plane starts to fill up with other teams experiments. The plane holds 12 experiments for each campaign.

THE PHP CUBED OUTREACH EVENT - WINNERS
Congratulations to the amazing students at Failight Primary School for delivering an wonderful mission badge for the team. We love the use of color in this design as well as the representation of our experiment. The use of flags was also a great way to express team work and international collaboration.
A poster of all the badges created by all 240 students can be seen below.
THE PHP CUBED OUTREACH EVENT - PROMOTING SPACE IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS!
As part of our outreach campaign we are carrying out a competition between 5 local schools. The aim of the competition is to get year 5 students (9-10yo) to design a mission badge for us to represent our flight on the Novespace Airbus A310 in November. When designing the mission badge, groups of students have to work together as a team and incorporate not only our experiment but also an element of team work into the design of the badge.
A poster of all the mission badges will be sent to all our supporters, financial and in kind as a thank you!
So far, we have visited 2 schools (4 classes of 25-28 Students), and the activity has been a huge success. Although the mission badge design is one of our activities, we also introduce the notion of space junk and encourage them to find a solution to this problem as well as introduce engineering s a whole in a way that is both engaging and forward thinking.
Below is a sneak peek at some of the designs from Rosback Primary School!
Good luck to all the teams!
